Recently I try to delete some old songs in my laptop so I can have more free hard-disk memory to save my homework for coming years.

This song illustrates Eminem once dreamed of himself, uses all the method to reject his daughter for accompanying her, he even dreamed of himself because of those 6 thousand audiences entertainment, he can't even satisfy her wife and her daughter's wish.

Dialogues of Eminem and his daughter flow through the lyrics, but their tone is full of complaint, just because Eminem cannot balance his life, because of the work he loves, but moreover, her daughter just don't want his dad to leave again.
他很清楚自己是女兒的盔甲, 他不容許任何人傷害他的女兒, 但矛盾的是他同時間是傷害女兒最深的那一個,
He knows he is the amour of his daughter, he deny everyone from hurting her, but the paradox is that he is the one who hurts his daughter the most.
充滿著諷刺的歌詞, 透露出Eminem他自身的無奈.
Lyrics are full of sarcasm, and it shows Eminem's helpless feeling.
歌詞中提到, 他一邊寫的歌詞是想表達他多麼愛他的女兒, 但寫的時候卻因為不想被騷擾不斷把女兒拒諸門外;
In the lyrics he tells he was writing a song about how much he loves his daughter, but at the writing moment, he kept pushing her out of his door.
到夢的最後, Eminem用不同的災難比喻他和女兒的關係, 長此下去也會變成相同的災難.
In the end of his dream, his uses different disaster as a metaphor, to illustrate if this situation keeps on, his relationship with his daughter is also a disaster.

read a blog about how Gangnam Style influent the music industry over the world.

don’t we have another little review on this song?
Gentleman was released on April 2013, which also viewed on
Youtube over 1.5billion times (actually not bad compare to Gangnam Style). Same as Gangnam Style, Gentleman also used house music (one type of electronic music). House
music is quite popular among K-pop songs these days. I think it is because
house music has strong and addictive beats that make audience can memorize the
rhythm easily. Also, the huge success in Gangnam Style makes the entertainment
companies to see the potential profit in making House music.
Similar to Gangnam
Style, the lyrics in Gentleman are just repeating few sentences while most of
them are English, eg. “I’m a mother-father-gentleman”, “Gonna make you sweat,
gonna make you wet”. It is not common for us to see many bilingual lyrics
nowadays, not only in Korean songs; we can also see this phenomenon in Hong
Kong, especially in Rap! (For example Rough Boy from The Way We Dance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVVogfarwoQ)
Usually in Asia, their lyrics are often mixing with English, while in western countries;
the English lyrics are often mixing with Spanish or French (for example: Lady
Gaga songs). But I think language-mixing lyrics are more common in Chinese
society or be more specific – Hong Kong. It is mainly because of its historical
background as British have colonized Hong Kong for many years. Therefore, Hong
People are acceptable to western culture. And the official languages in Hong
Kong are Cantonese, English and Putonghua. And somehow we even think we are
more superior to speak mixed-English Cantonese. Therefore, Mixed-language
lyrics tend to suit the taste of Hong Kong people more. (Off topic L)
The dance of
Gentleman is also very easy to learn and very addictive to audience. It is come
from “arrogant dance” from the song “Abracadabra” by South Korean girl group,
Brown Eyed Girls. This dance was very popular in Korea when the song was
launched. When Gentleman released, this dance reheated again! My younger
brother often dances with the MV!

Hello everyone! I am Meris. This is my very first time to do blogging. HAHA I am still trying to figure out how to make post on Blogspot.
Okay, back to topic! Yesterday, professor shared a website on another class called : http://www.engrish.com/. This is site where everyone from all parts of the world upload pictures with English mistakes. The photos were so funny that i told myself i must have to share to you guys since not everyone are in that class.
The website is called Engrish which obviously came from the word - English. it is kind of irony as Japanese have difficulty in pronouncing ''L'' sound. When you click into "Chinglish", you will see many jokes about translation between Chinese and English.
For example:
Many restaurants in China are now having menus of English version, mainly because more and more foreigners come to visit China. However, they tend rely on electronic dictionaries or online resources eg. Google Translate for translation without asking professionals for help. i laughed out loud when i saw "哥頓布"was translated into " the elder brother a cloth". "哥頓布" is actually a method of cooking. At least we would guess it is a name or a place even if we do not know its meaning!
See? there are even English errors on government official banner. We can see government does not really take this seriously. Translation aims for facilitating communication. However, in above cases, these "translations" create more misunderstanding and affect communication more adversely.
